(KDAL) - This year's Thanksgiving holiday period will see an increase in travel according to the Minnesota AAA. Nationwide, they are projecting that 43.6 million Americans wil travel 50 miles or more from home an increase of 0.7 percent from last year. The heaviest day for travel will be Wednesday and most will come back on Sunday. For those traveling on the highways, the cost of gas will be less than last year's average which was 3.32 a gallon the most expensive ever for the Thanksgiving period. Air travel is expected to be down about 2 percent from last year.
