(KDAL) - The University of Minnesota Sea Grant Program is holding a "A Salute to Lake Superior's Sustainable Fisheries" event on campus Tuesday night. Several chefs are creating special dishes featuring fresh lake herring and will compete for a thousand dollar first prize. The herring is supplied by 25 commercial fishermen on Lake Superior. The tasting event is being held in the McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis from 5 to 7:30 pm.
