(KDAL) - Linemen and trucks from East Central Energy are part of a contingent of Minnesota electric cooperatives helping to restore power on the east coast after the recent storms. 42 line workers and 18 rigs have been dispatched from Minnesota electric cooperatives to Connecticut and Long Island, NY to help get the power back on for over 300 thousand customers. Crews are expected to remain in the area for about two weeks. East Central Energy is a member owned cooperative that serves an area of east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
