DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Split Rock Lighthouse will again feature a special lighting of their beacon on Saturday, the anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. The popular beacon lighting commemorates the November 10, 1975 sinking of the freighter that went down in Lake Superior with all 29 people aboard lost. The ceremony begins with the reading of the names of those who perished, ringing a ship's bell and the the illumination of the lighthouse beacon. Get more information at www.mnhs.org/splitrock
