DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - One precinct in Duluth had a rocky start to election day as some early voters got the wrong ballot.  Apparently ballots with Kerry Gauthier's name in the 7-B race were used in the City Center West precinct by mistake.  Within a half hour, the ballots were replaced with the correct version that had Erik Simonson as the DFL candidate.  It is not clear how many voters had used the wrong ballots before the mistake was discovered.  Voters with the incorrect ballot were told they could write in Simonson's name.  The ballots will be hand counted anyway since independent candidate Jay Fosle ran a write-in campaign for the office.
