(KDAL) - The wolf hunting season in Minnesota's East Central Zone has closed early after hunters came up just one short of the quota of 9 wolves in the opening weekend. In the Northeast Zone, 28 wolves have been registered with the target number at 58 and in the Northwest, 30 wolves have been harvested with a quota in that region of 133. Hunters must register all wolves by 10 p-m on the day of harvest so the DNR can monitor the zone specific harvest levels. More information on the wolf hunt can be found on the website www.mndnr.gov
