MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KDAL) - The Minneapolis City Council on Friday gave final approval to a plan to build a 975 million dollar stadium for the Minnesota Vikings. The stadium will be built at the current site of the Metrodome and is expected to be ready for the 2016 football season. Under the plan, the team is set to chip in 477 million dollars. The state legislature passed the bill earlier this month and it was signed by Governor Dayton on May 14th.
