ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) - The 2012 Minnesota Legislature will convene on Tuesday with a focus on issues that include a bonding bill and a potential new Viking's stadium. After the last session's stalemate on a budget bill resulted in a state government shutdown, several legislators, including Senate DFL leader Tom Bakk, are calling for a speedy session this year. Bakk says there is no reason they can't complete their business by Easter. Republicans remain in control of both houses and Democrat Mark Dayton is Governor. According to law, the legislature must adjourn by May 22nd.
