DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Veterans Memorial Hall, the St. Louis County Historical Society and Honor and Remember Minnesota will be presenting Gold Star Flags to eight area families who had members killed in action during the Global War on Terror.  The presentations will be made in the Depot at 1 p-m Sunday and the event is open to the public.  The Gold Star Flag was created by the father of a fallen service member in Iraq and has been adopted by nine states and is being considered by the state of Minnesota.  The program on Sunday will include speakers from Honor and Remember Minnesota describing the meaning behind elements of the flag and its history.
