Duluth, MN (KDAL) - The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Twin Cities Musicians Local 30-73 will meet for two days in early January in an attempt to find common ground on a new contract for the musicians. A federal mediator will oversee the talks, which will be held on the third and fourth of January. Both sides agreed to not publicly disclose the content of the meetings to help keep the process moving, according to a joint statement by the two parties. That's despite a statement on the orchestra's website saying "Our aim is to be transparent and open throughout the negotiation process with our musicians..." For the moment, concerts through Feb. 8 have been cancelled due to the lockout.
