It appears the Duluth Salvation Army will meet its holiday donation goal of $278,000, but a computer failure means officials don't at the moment have an official tally. Major Bill Cox said should that amount hold true, the group would beat last years holiday fundraising total by more than $5,000. The holiday drive -- from mid-November through mid-January -- goes a long way to sustaining the Salvation Army through the year. Meeting their goal means they won't have to worry where necessary money will come from through September.
