Duluth, MN (KDAL) - it's safe to be a wolf again in Wisconsin.  The State Department of Natural Resources closed the season on wolves early, the last day to hunt them legally was yesterday.  Most of the areas in the state had already been shut down as they had reached their quota of animals, the last one was closed on Sunday to prevent over harvesting.

The wolf season in Wisconsin was to run until the end of February.
