Grand Rapids, MN (KDAL) - There was a late night shooting Saturday at a home in Grand Rapids. Two people were critically injured and third there was arrested. Authorities identified the victims as Paul Russell Johnson, thrity-two, and Rosemary Oberg Johnson, fifty-nine. Both are from Grand Rapids. They were airlifted to a Duluth hospital and yesterday were still reported to be in critical condition.
Twenty-six year old William Levi Payne of Bovey was arrested in connection with the double shooting and is expected to be brought up on formal charges today.
Apparently the shooting was over a break up of the Payne's marraige and in this case the "other man" was Russell Johnson, who lived in Grand Rapids with his mother. Payne turned himself into police about an hour after the shooting.
