For anyone traveling south for the holidays today, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced Interstate 35 between Albert Lea and the Iowa border has reopened following Thursday's colossal snowstorm. In Iowa, a stretch of the Interstate from the Minnesota border to Ames also has reopened. Officials had closed those sections yesterday following reports of multiple accidents.
