DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - St. Louis County Attorney Mark Rubin has been honored by the Minnesota County Attorneys Association with the 2012 M.A. Johnson Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes one who demonstrates significant leadership and commitment to improve the quality of justice while enhancing public awareness of the office. In presenting the award, the Association's President commended Rubin for his response to last year's shooting at the Cook County Courthouse. Rubin drove to Grand Marais the following morning to assist the Sheriff's Office in preparing a complaint and volunteered the assistance of his staff until the Cook County office returned to more normal operations. Rubin was elected County Attorney in 2010 and served as a prosecutor in the office for more than 30 years.
