DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The Governor's Task Force on Broadband has released a report that highlights recommendations for expansion of broadband across Minnesota. Among the eight specific recommendations are providing tax credits to broadband providers, extending the sales tax exemptions for the purchase of fiber optic and broadband equipment and to increase funding to public libraries and schools for computer stations and internet access. The release of the report comes a month after a Broadband Conference cohosted by Connect Minnesota and the Blandin Foundation was held in Duluth.
