Duluth, MN (KDAL) - A citizens open house last featured three plans for the rebuilding of Chester Bowl Park. The popular Duluth Green Space was ravage by the floods of last June and a pond at the base of the ski hill was washed away. The area is rock and rubble now and the DNR doesn't want the pond rebuilt because the water in the creek warms up and harms the trout habitat.
Residents looked at three plans, two of which included rebuilding the pond. A final decision is yet to be made.
OF NOTE: The Duluth Park Advisory Board meets tonight at the Parks and Rec office on 4th Street. The meeting starts at 5PM.
