PINE CITY, MN (KDAL) - A woman is in serious condition in a Duluth hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest after a shooting in rural Pine County late Wednesday night.  The victim texted that she was shot by her ex-husband who was still in the house.  Pine and Chisago County Sheriff Deputies surrounded the house and cornered the man in the living room trying to convince him to surrender.  After two hours of negotiating, the man shot himself in the head.  The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is also aiding in the investigation.
