DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - The St. Louis County Board is holding a public meeting to get input on the 2013 proposed tax levy and operating budget. The meeting is at 7 p-m Thursday in the County Board Room of the courthouse in Duluth. Formerly known as the "Truth in Taxation" hearing, the name was changed to comply with state statute but the purpose of allowing the public to comment on the budget remains the same. The board set a maximum levy that was 1.5 percent over 2012 and will vote on a final levy for 2013 at its December 11th meeting.
