Duluth, MN (KDAL) - Midwest Communications and the Duluth Boys and Girls Club will put on a gift drive next Wednesday, Dec. 12, in front of the main entrance of the Technology Village on Superior Street near the intersection with Lake Avenue.
On-air staff for the six local MWC stations -- including KDAL 610 -- will collect new, unwrapped toys or cash donations. Toys and proceeds will all go to the Boys and Girls Club, and will be distributed at the club's various holiday parties this season. Susan Nash, market manager for MWC Duluth, said demand for all age groups is higher this year. Nash encouraged businesses -- in addition to area residents -- to donate as well.
The city has donated three parking spaces in front of the Tech Village building to serve as a drop-off point. Donations beyond next Wednesday can be dropped off at the Midwest Communications business office in the Tech Village, at Suite 380, until Friday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m.
