UNDATED (KDAL) - Law enforcement from Minnesota, Wisconsin and across the midwest are focusing on keeping drunk drivers off the roads this holiday weekend. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics show that while alcohol impaired driving fatalities are starting to fall, there were still nearly 11 thousand people who died in crashes in 2009 where the vehicle's driver was over the legal limit. The State Patrols of both states are concentrating on the high risk nighttime and weekend hours when impaired drivers are most likely to be on the roads.
