UNDATED (KDAL) - After nearly two weeks of electro-fishing and netting on the St. Croix River, no Asian Carp were found even though DNA testing in the river was positive. More extensive testing is expected to be conducted later this month in other portions of the St. Croix between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Meanwhile, the two states are joining four other states urging congress to pass legislation that would keep the invasive carp from migrating from the Chicago canal into Lake Michigan. A Federal judge and appeals court has refused an order that would close the canal. Illinois officials say breaking the link between the Mississippi and Lake Michigan would harm that state's economy.
