WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAU) – Aspirus will begin renovating the emergency department at its Wausau hospital today but the project will affect how you drive around the building.
Drivers arriving to the hospital complex from Bridge Street will no longer be able to drive west past the helipad and emergency department. Instead, you will have to follow signs at the Pine Ridge Boulevard intersection and use that street.
The hospital will also create a temporary emergency department entrance next to the current entrance at the north end of the hospital.
The project will go through February. It is meant to improve energy efficiency, patient flow and privacy and aesthetics in the emergency department.
