Sheboygan Man Charged After Running His Car Into A House

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man has now been formally charged after ramming his car into a porch on Sheboygan’s north side late Thursday evening.  44  year old David Braatz was charged with two counts of 2^nd degree reckless endangerment and one count of criminal damage to property after allegedly getting into an argument with his girlfriend at a party, then giving his girlfriend and another woman a ride home.  It was during that drive home that Braatz became agitated, accelerated his car up to 100 miles per hour on 8^th Street and blowing through stop signs and stop lights.  At the intersection of 8^th and Geele, Braatz’s car left the roadway and struck a tree and a house.  Both Braatz and his two passengers fled the scene and were promptly apprehended by authorities.  If convicted, Braatz could spend the next 20 years in prison.
