STEVENS POINT, WI (WTAQ) - A Stevens Point school teacher appeared in Wood County Circuit Court today on charges that he had a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

39-year-old Paul Peterson of Vesper is on administrative leave from his job as a technology education instructor at Stevens Point Area Senior High school.

Peterson is being held under a $250,000 bond on charges that include exposure and repeated  sexual assault of a child and for incest for sexuall asaulting a family member.

According to prosecutors, Peterson first had contact with the girl a few weeks after his wife died – and he reportedly began having sexual contact about twice a week through mid-September.
