DULUTH, Min. (KDAL) - Duluth City Councilor Jeff Anderson has formally announced his intention to run for Congress in Minnesota's 8th District next year. Anderson will be challenging first term Congressman Chip Cravaack in the November 2012 election. The 34 year old Anderson is a small business owner and radio sales executive. Anderson says he has heard from an increasing number of northland residents who are not impressed with the way Cravaack is representing the people of the district. Anderson says Cravaack is "putting the Tea Party ahead of the voters" and says the freshman congressman is "proving that the populist message he used to get elected was just a facade used to mask his true agenda".
