DULUTH, Min (KDAL) - Scott Sandelin, who coached the University of Minnesota-Duluth to its first ever NCAA men's hockey championship last season has signed a five year contract extension with the school. The agreement calls for an annual base salary of 235 thousand dollars. Sandelin is 46 years old and since assuming the UMD head coaching role in the 1999-2000 season, he has compiled at 192-200-52 mark with the Bulldogs, that includes a 70-45-15 record over the last three seasons.
