DULUTH, Min. (KDAL) - The U-S Coast Guard and first responders from Duluth and St. Louis County were called to rescue a man who was clinging to an overturned kayak in Lake Superior Tuesday afternoon. 24 year old Marshall Hansberry from Duluth was spotted in the lake behind Fitgers calling for help. Duluth Fire Department personnel were able to get him out of the water and he was transferred to a hospital for treatment for hypothermia. Although Hansberry was wearing a lifejacket, he was not wearing any cold water protection such as a wetsuit.
