The Mississippi River is running high in the City of St. Paul. Major flooding in downtown St. Paul is predicted to peak on Thursday at just over 19-feet. Some streets have been closed but levels are not expected to be anywhere near record levels. Meanwhile forecasters say moderate flooding will continue much of this week along the Buffalo River at Dilworth. To the west at Fargo-Moorhead, the Red River will surpass flood stage Tuesday but is not expected to advance much higher in the coming days. Points downriver are not predicted to reach dramatic heights in the immediate future, and levels along the Two Rivers River and Red Lake River in northwestern Minnesota are also lingering below official flood stage.
