(Undated) -- As floodwaters rise, emergency management operations officially began today at the Minnesota Department of Public Safety headquarters in St. Paul. Officials say the statewide flooding situation has worsened due to snow and rain from the past two days. The Minnesota River is up to moderate flood stage at New Ulm, Henderson and Jordan. Flooding has closed Fort Snelling State Park at the convergence of the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers and major flooding is predicted in St. Paul by early Sunday -- downriver in Hastings by early Monday. There's moderate flooding in southwestern Minnesota -- along the Redwood River at Marshall and on the Des Moines River at both Windom and Jackson.
