Fond Du Lac, Wis. (Fond Du Lac Reporter) - A Fond du Lac Police Department officer has been shot and police and SWAT officers from several departments remain in a standoff with an armed suspect on Fond du Lac’s west side. Officers were called to the home on Lincoln Avenue around 6:30 a.m. for a high risk call, said Fond du Lac Police Department Capt. Mat Mueller. “One officer was hit,” he said. Reports from the scene indicate at least one person was taken to an area hospital by helicopter. Ambulances from several departments are at the scene and streets are blocked off in every direction for at least a block around the area.
