Mayors from across Minnesota are at the State Capitol discussing Local Government Aid with Governor Dayton.  Wadena Mayor Wayne Wolden says LGA has been the low-hanging fruit over the past eight-years.  He says less money from the state has translated into huge increases in property taxes which is not acceptable to local residents.  Governor Dayton's budget proposal protects LGA funding.  Meanwhile, the House Tax Committee chair is calling for a two-year freeze on current property tax rates.
