OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) - A Richfield man is dead after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 41.
20-year-old Jacob Wolf was struck near the Highway 44 exit in Oshkosh, near the Country USA grounds.
Officials say Wolf was trying to get to a campground when he was hit around 12:30 a.m. in an area that's under construction.
Winnebago County Sheriff's deputies say another person was with the victim, but wasn't hit. They don't believe the 17-year-old New London boy driving the vehicle was at fault.
The accident remains under investigation. That stretch of Highway 41 was closed for a few hours.
