GRAND MARAIS, Mn (KDAL) - The Cook County Sheriff's Office says a search has resumed on Swan Lake for a canoeist who was last seen on Thursday of last week. 23 year old Ty Sitter from Janesville, Wisconsin was fishing on the lake alone while his brother and father were at their campsite. When he failed to return after dark, they went looking for him and found his canoe, upright but unoccupied. Sitter's life jacket, fishing net, tackle box and other gear was also in the canoe. Authorities and volunteers have been searching the area with dogs and helicopters. Swan Lake is in the BWCA about 15 miles northwest of Grand Marais.
