(St.Paul, MN)  --  The 410 traffic fatalities in Minnesota during 2010, if certified, would be the lowest number since the early 1940s.  In 2009, 421 people died on Minnesota roads.  Department of Public Safety Commissioner Michael Campion says says the state has made great strides in reducing traffic deaths.  He says there were 657 as recently as 2002.  Campion credits bipartisan legislation passed over the past few years for the dramatic decline in traffic deaths.
