It appears the flu bug is moving in and health officials say their not surprised. Kris Ehresmann is with the Minnesota Department of Health and says this time of year is usually when we see our flu peak. She says up until now flu activity has been pretty quiet around the state. Last week, 13 schools and three nursing homes reported flu-like outbreaks. There were 13 flu related hospitalizations and no deaths reported. Ehresmann says it's not too late to get a flu shot. She says once you've received the flu vaccination, it takes about two weeks to get the shot's full protection.
