UNDATED, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin businesses sold 13% more goods-and-services to other countries from January through September, compared to the year before. That's according to export figures released today by the U.S. Commerce Department. It said Wisconsin exported $16.3 billion worth of goods in the first nine months of the year -- up from $14.4 billion in 2010. Chile is the state's fastest-growing customer, with 60% more exports than a year ago. Exports to Germany rose 32%, Australia 24$, Canada 17%, and China 11%. Machinery is among the Badger State's largest exports, along with computer-and-electronic items, transportation equipment, food, and chemicals.
