DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Members of the Lake Superior Drug and Gang Task Force and Duluth Police have completed a nine month investigation with the arrest of a 50 year old Duluth man for selling heroin. Cedric Bester was taken into custody on July 25th and a search of his house on the 1200 block of East 4th Street turned up a quantity of heroin, a handgun and some stolen property that he received from buyers in exchange for drugs. Among the charges facing Bester are first degree sale and possession of a controlled substance and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Other charges are pending as the investigation continues.
In another investigation, Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug and Gang Task Force arrested 30 year old Mary Thomas in the 300 block of East 4th Street for the first degree sale of crack cocaine. Thomas has a history of past convictions for the sale of controlled substances and was on parole for selling drugs at the time of her most recent arrest on August 4th.
