ST. PAUL, Min. (MNN) - From north to south, up to 35 counties across Minnesota are being examined in their quest for federal flood assistance.  Emergency Management officials did damage assessments in Wilkin and Stevens counties yesterday afternoon and are scheduled to make their way through Clay, Grant and Traverse counties today.  A number of other counties in northwestern Minnesota and the Twin Cities area will be examined for flood damage during the remainder of the week.  Estimates are being tallied in order to reach a threshold of six-point-five million dollars in order to qualify for federal disaster assistance.
