Sheboygan, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man could spend up to 22 years in prison after punching an officer at Memorial Hospital in Sheboygan last Wednesday. 27 year old Tyler Metzner is facing two felony charges of Battery of a police officer after a fight at Memorial Hospital in Sheboygan. According to the criminal complaint, Sheboygan Police were called to the emergency room at Memorial hospital to help subdue Metzner, who had become unruly. While officers were attempting to place handcuffs on Metzner, he punched an officer in the face, giving him a small concussion, while becoming increasingly violent. During the course of the struggle, he attempted to kick and hit the other officers who had arrived to assist in the struggle. According to court documents, Metzner has a violent past, including a previous prison term he served in 2004 for aggravated battery. Metzner was still on supervision when this incident occurred.
