(St. Paul, MN)  --  With the start of the 2010 school year comes encouraging news from the Minnesota Department of Education.  Officials say Minnesota students are ahead of the national average when it comes to scores on SAT exams.  Teenagers scored on average 613 in math, 605 in reading and 586 in writing, all well-above their counterparts across the country.  Education officials say there was also a boost in the number of students taking the Advanced Placement exam in order to qualify for college.
