(Minneapolis, MN)  --  The Minnesota Golden Gophers will play their home opener this weekend as they welcome in South Dakota to TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday afternoon.  The Gophers topped Middle Tennessee, 24-17, in last week's season opener.  Kickoff for Saturday's tilt is scheduled for 11 a.m.  Head coach Tim Brewster said he is unsure if fullback Jon Hoese [[ HAY-zee ]] will play in Saturday's game because of the death of his father earlier this week.  Hoese rushed for three TD's in the team's season-opening win at Middle Tennessee State.
