(Duluth, MN)  --  Negotiators for the nurses union and St. Mary's Duluth Hospital go back to the bargaining table today, one week before a planned one-day strike.  Hospital President and Chief Medical Officer, Doctor Tom Patnoe (PAT'-noe) says their plan is to continue to bargain in good faith and he hopes a resolution can be reached.  R-N Steve Strand says they don't want to go on strike but, if there's no contract language for greater nurse staffing levels, care of patients will continue to deteriorate.  Meanwhile, nurses at Saint Luke's Hospital in Duluth vote tomorrow on a tentative contract agreement.
