(St. Paul, MN)  --  An army of hunters, perhaps 500-thousand strong, will take to the fields and forests for Minnesota's firearms deer season that begins on November 6th.  The D-N-R's Lou Cornicelli says conditions look good - and well over a third of gun hunters should bag their deer.  Cornicelli estimates that hunters will harvest 200-thousand deer this year.  The firearms deer season opens Saturday, November 6th and runs through the 21st in northern Minnesota and the 14th in all other parts of the state.
