(Washington, DC)  --  Congressman James Oberstar says the U-S Transportation Department will announce later this week that its approved 40-million-dollars to renovate St. Paul's Union Depot.  The plan is for Central Corridor light rail to go into the depot, plus a proposed high-speed rail line between the Twin Cities and Chicago.  Officials say Amtrak's Empire Builder service, which currently stops at a station in St. Paul's Midway district, will also be relocated to the Union Depot.
