(St. Paul, MN) -- The state's largest teachers union says it expects more than 10-thousand teachers Thursday and Friday for its professional conference at St. Paul's RiverCentre.  A number of districts have levy referendums on the ballot one week from Tuesday.  Education Minnesota President Tom Dooher says they're not talking about that, but how teachers can engage their communities to be sure schools have necessary resources.  He says this election is really going to make the state a better place for our kids to go to school, or a more dire place for our kids go to school.  Education Minnesota has endorsed Democrat Mark Dayton for governor.
