(Undated)  --  Minnesota's pheasant season is officially here as the opener kicks off at nine this morning.  D-N-R Conservation officer Mike Martin says the pheasant harvest should be good, if not better, than last year.  Martin notes standing crops could make it harder to flush out the birds.  However, he adds that might extend hunting opportunities on public land because, once the corn comes down, the birds will move there.  Martin suggests wearing more than one article of blaze orange to help better identify yourself to other hunters.
