Dry conditions in recent weeks have expanded drought conditions beyond Cook and Lake counties as similar conditions are now reported in eastern St. Louis County. Also, the D-N-R continues to warn of a high fire danger in counties surrounding the Twin Cities. According to the forecast no significant rain is expected through the weekend.
