(St. Paul, MN)  --  Governor Pawlenty has scheduled a special session of the Legislature for this coming Monday, October 18th, following Wednesday's presidential approval of the state's disaster declaration.  The governor's spokesman expects swift approval by lawmakers for payments to those affected by fall flooding.  He says the funding will act as a reimbursement to those affected -- many of whom are in the process of making repairs right now.  Public assistance was granted for flood recovery in 21 Minnesota counties but the governor's office says FEMA is still evaluating whether to pay for individual assistance.
