A 26-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter sealed the deal for the Jets as they beat the Vikings 29-20 in Monday Night Football at the new Meadowlands Stadium. New York led 12-to-0 in the third quarter before Brett Favre got Minnesota on the board with a 37-yard touchdown pass to newly-acquired receiver Randy Moss.

It was the 500th career touchdown toss for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Favre added a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown throws, each one getting the Vikings back to within two but they could never get over the hump.

The Jets have won 4 straight to improve to 4-and-1 while the Vikings slide to 1-and-3 and are just a half game in front of the Lions in the NFC North.
